Ibori Remains Our National Leader, Best Governor of Delta State- Keston Okoro
By Philip Onome
Former Lawmaker who represented Udu Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief ) Liege Lord Keston Okoro has stated that Ex-Governor James Onanefe Ibori remains the national leader of politics and best governor of state since 1999.
Hon. Okoro in a chat with Journalists at a public function, said with Ibori at the helms of affairs in the national space, Deltans have started having a breathe of fresh air.
He said; “I wish to give kudos to our former governor Chief James Onanefe Ibori fondly called the ‘Odidigborigbo of Africa’ for his leadership skills.”
“Chief Ibori has laid a solid foundation for economic development and stability of the state, therefore he remains our national leader; and I urge him to continue to make his imput in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led government so that Deltans will benefit more and feel the impact of democracy”.
The former lawmaker further described Chief Ibori as a courageous, fearless, a compatriot, and protagonist of good governance, adding that he remains the best governor Delta State has ever had and no governor has been able to beat his records.
While saying that every leader anywhere in the world has a record whichever contains the deeds and misdeeds of the leader in question, Hon. Okoro noted that the record of Ibori’s legacy will certainly not be complete without touching certain sectors like education reform, road infrastructure, water infrastructure, human capital development and peace he put in place over the years.
“Odidigborigbo is a leader of men and astute manager of resources. I urged all Deltans to support our national leader. And we pray that God will continue to keep him stronger as he joins the national platform in reforming the nation for our good”.
He further said; “I also use this medium to advise and call on all politicians who have one way and the other benefitted from Chief James Onanefe Ibori irrespective of the party you belong or ethnic nationality you came from most especially those who spring from Chief Ibori dynasty either by interest or tussle of leadership or supremacy you have fought against our distinguished Excellency Chief James Onanefe Ibori deliberate or indeliberate.
“Please retrieve your steps and go back to pledge your total and sincere loyalty to the foremost political national leader of Delta State for your sins to be forgiven for Chief Ibori is a leader with forgiven Spirit.”
“But for those who are political pharaohs and economy vampires of Delta state, simply retire yourselves for they shall be no room to accommodate your sins and iniquities as is dangerous to work with snakes in the pocket”. The former lawmaker advised.
